Are you a new bride looking for your perfect photographer match?

I know that first engaged feeling can quickly come to a halt when you look at all the amazing options available to you. Things can get overwhelming and fast, especially when it comes down to choosing that one perfect person that will capture your special day. Let's be honest, it's a little nerve wrecking because when it's all said and done, your pictures and videos will be all that you have left to hold all the magic of your wedding day. I'm here to make choosing your photographer a little less daunting. So, let me share with you my top tips for finding the perfect wedding photographer for your big day and feel the stress of that task slowly melt away!

Editing Style: This is crucial when finding your photographer. There are so many different, yet beautiful, editing styles out there. When looking at photographers, you're going to want to choose the one whose editing style aligns to your vision. Are you looking for a light and airy look or more dark and moody? Film-inspired and candid or more posed? Looking at your perspective photographers portfolios and work will help you make the right decision.

Budget: We all know that a wedding is a major financial investment. Your venue, catering, and photographer and/or videographer will account for the majority of your wedding budget. So, it's important when looking for your perfect photographer to have a budget in mind. You're also going to want to look at their prices and packages. Do they possibly offer a payment plan option that allows you to pay on your total as you move closer to your wedding? Do you only want digital images or are you looking for a signature album too? Do they offer a customizing option that allows your to build your package based on your budget and wants?

Personal + Professional: When looking for your perfect photographer, you want to consider your options both professionally and personally. How long has this photographer been in business? How many weddings have they shot? These are both great questions when looking at the professional side of your photographer. Personally, you're going to want to make sure your personalities align. Your photographer isn't just your photographer. They button the buttons on your dress, help tie shoes, assist with your veil and so much more. You're going to want a photographer that has a great personality that fits for you and is easy to work with, while still remaining professional.

References: Were you just a bridesmaids in your friend's wedding? Ask them about their photographer. Chat with others you know that have just gotten married. Getting references from others is a great way to help you find your perfect photographer! First-hand experiences from those you trust might just help you land a photographer that you not only love, but can deliver your dream wedding album.
